In October, a delegation from MMC and representatives of the Ministry of National Defense units visited the AM General factory in South Bend, United States. The trip was an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest achievements in American military technology, including a demonstration of the capabilities of the JLTV A2 vehicle and the Humvee with a reinforced suspension and a 205 HP engine, in five-person (4+1) and nine-person (8+1) versions. Both types of vehicles presented advanced technical solutions, ideally responding to the challenges of the modern battlefield and significantly increasing off-road capabilities as well as stability and ride comfort in difficult terrain.
During the demonstration, the JLTV A2 drew attention to its exceptional mobility and advanced crew protection systems, which make it an ideal solution for operations in extreme combat conditions. Similarly, the HMMWV, with the ability to transport up to nine people (8+1 gunner), demonstrated its full capabilities, offering high maneuverability and durability. The presence of Polish specialists enabled direct evaluation of these vehicles in terms of potential applications in the Polish armed forces. The trip is an important step in cooperation with the US, aimed at exchanging military technologies and experiences and supporting the modernization of Polish defense equipment.
