MMC Consulting sp. z o.o., the exclusive representative of the American company AM General in Poland, presented its offer of the Hawkeye 105mm self-propelled howitzer for the Polish Armed Forces at the International Artillery Conference in Toruń. This system, based on the HMMWV, boasts exceptional mobility, which increases survivability on a modern battlefield dominated by drones and precision-guided munitions.
Key Features of the Hawkeye
The M20 howitzer (a derivative of the M119) has a range of 11.5–19.5 km, a rate of fire of up to 8 rounds/min, and deploys in less than 90 seconds. Equipped with a “soft recoil technology” (SRT) that reduces forces by up to 60%, the GVWR is approximately 6.4 tons and is operated by four personnel, or two in extreme conditions. This technology is also suitable for 155mm howitzers and 120mm mortars.
Versatility and Testing
The Hawkeye combat section is mounted on a HMMWV but can be adapted to Stryker, Supacat HMT Extenda, or Legwan chassis. The design, tested by the US and Ukrainian armies, is attracting interest from many countries, emphasizing its reliability in real-world conditions.
MMC Consulting sp. z o.o. provides full support in the delivery and integration of this equipment from AM General.
